The KitSon – ART – “Giverny Talks”
“Somewhere beyond right and wrong there is a “Giverny” garden….I will meet you there” Jalalludin Rumi
No duty’s bound upon a dream, yet see it clear and there shall rise a yearning. And so it was that in the heart of this paradisiacal Normandy landscape of Giverny, Claude Monet shaped his brilliant heavenly Eden, a garden so many times commissioned to canvas. A wondrous place so attractive to other artists, above all the Impressionists, who flocked here around him.
Not a stone’s throw away from Monet’s pathways, lies another garden and it’s at this creation, the Jardin de l’Hôtel Baudy that The KitSon welcomes you to bend an ear to the winds of whispers and so to, plant your own seed to grow in a world of art and thinking.
Here you’ll enjoy a luncheon true to the spirit of Giverny while meeting and talking to art experts, artists and sometimes gardeners too, from all over the world. They will not only reveal the secrets of color and canvas at the heart of Impressionism but explain the art and history of Giverny and its famous inhabitants (Mary Cassatt, Theodore Robinson, Gustave Caillebotte, Paul Cezanne, Auguste Renoir, Auguste Rodin, Alfred Sisley etc).
